अध्याय ३० — क्रोधदोषाः क्षमाप्रशंसा च

Defects of Anger and the Praise of Forbearance

धातैव खलु भूतानां सुखदु:खे प्रियाप्रिये । दधाति सर्वमीशान: पुरस्ताच्छुक्रमुच्चरन्‌,विधाता ईश्वर ही सबके पूर्वकर्मोके अनुसार प्राणियोंके लिये सुख-दुःख, प्रिय- अप्रियकी व्यवस्था करते हैं

dhātaiva khalu bhūtānāṃ sukhaduḥkhe priyāpriye | dadhāti sarvam īśānaḥ purastāc chukram uccaran |

యుధిష్ఠిరుడు అన్నాడు—“విధాత అయిన ఈశ్వరుడే, ముందుగా ఏర్పడిన కర్మప్రవాహానుసారం, ప్రాణులకు సుఖదుఃఖాలు, ప్రియాప్రియాలు—అన్నిటినీ నియమిస్తాడు.”
