योधयामासतुरुभौ रावर्णिं रामलक्ष्मणौ | यद्यपि रावणका पुत्र मायासे तिरोहित हो जानेके कारण दिखायी नहीं देता था, तो भी शूरवीर श्रीराम और लक्ष्मण दोनों भाई उसके साथ युद्ध करते ही रहे
yodhayāmāsatur ubhau rāvarṇiṃ rāma-lakṣmaṇau |
మార్కండేయుడు పలికెను—రామలక్ష్మణులు ఇద్దరూ రావణిపుత్రునితో యుద్ధమాడిరి. ఆ రాక్షసకుమారుడు మాయాబలముచే అంతర్ధానమై కనబడకపోయినను, ఆ ఇద్దరు శూరభ్రాతలు యుద్ధమును విడువక నిరంతరం అతనితో సమరమాడిరి.
