Vaiśaṃpāyana–Janamejaya Narrative
न्यवारयत् तौ प्रहसन् कुन्तीपुत्रो वृकोदर: । शक्तोहं राक्षसस्येति प्रेक्षध्वमिति चाब्रवीत्,परंतु कुन्तीकुमार भीमसेनने हँसकर उन दोनोंको रोक दिया और कहा--“मैं अकेला ही इस राक्षसके लिये पर्याप्त हूँ। तुमलोग चुप-चाप देखते रहो”
nyavārayat tau prahasan kuntīputro vṛkodaraḥ | śakto'haṃ rākṣasasye'ti prekṣadhvam iti cābravīt ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— కుంతీపుత్రుడు వృకోదరుడు భీమసేనుడు నవ్వుతూ వారిద్దరినీ ఆపి ఇలా అన్నాడు—“ఈ రాక్షసునికి నేను ఒక్కడే చాలు. మీరు నిశ్శబ్దంగా నిలిచి చూడండి.”
