वालुकामुष्टिमनिशं भागीरथ्यां व्यसर्जयत् । सेतुमभ्यारभच्छक्रो यवक्रीतं निदर्शयन्,वे निरन्तर एक-एक मुट्ठी बालू गंगाजीमें छोड़ते थे और इस प्रकार उन्होंने यवक्रीतको दिखाकर पुल बाँधनेका कार्य आरम्भ कर दिया
vālukā-muṣṭim aniśaṃ bhāgīrathyāṃ vyasarjayat | setum abhyārabhac chakro yavakrītaṃ nidarśayan ||
అతడు ఆగకుండా ముష్టి ముష్టిగా ఇసుకను భాగీరథిలో విడిచెను; యవక్రీతుని చూపిస్తూ శక్రుడు సేతు నిర్మాణాన్ని ప్రారంభించాడు.
