स्त्रीधर्मिणी वेपमाना शोणितेन समुक्षिता | एकवसत्त्रा विकृष्टास्मि दु:खिता कुरुसंसदि,मैं रजस्वला थी, मेरे कपड़ोंपर रक्तके छींटे लगे थे, शरीरपर एक ही वस्त्र था और लज्जा एवं भयसे मैं थरथर काँप रही थी। उस दशामें मुझ दुःखिनी अबलाको कौरवोंकी सभामें घसीटकर लाया गया था

Transliteration

strīdharmiṇī vepamānā śoṇitena samukṣitā | ekavastrā vikṛṣṭā’smi duḥkhitā kurusaṃsadi ||

Translation

నేను రజస్వలగా ఉన్నాను; వస్త్రాలపై రక్తపు మచ్చలు పడ్డాయి; దేహంపై ఒక్క వస్త్రమే; లజ్జా, భయంతో వణికిపోయాను. ఆ స్థితిలో దుఃఖితురాలైన నన్ను కురుసభలోకి లాగి తీసుకొచ్చారు.
