द्विजाः प्रतिग्रहे युक्ता दातारो राजवंशजा: । यदि धर्म: श्रुतो विप्र सहैव फलमस्तु नौ,ब्राह्मणोंको दान लेनेका अधिकार है और क्षत्रिय केवल दान देते हैं, लेते नहीं; यह धर्म आपने भी सुना होगा; अतः विप्रवर! हम दोनोंके कार्यका फल साथ ही हम दोनोंके उपयोगमें आवे

dvijāḥ pratigrahe yuktā dātāro rājavaṁśajāḥ | yadi dharmaḥ śruto vipra sahaiva phalam astu nau ||

బ్రాహ్మణుడు పలికెను—ద్విజులకు దానం స్వీకరించే అధికారం ఉంది; రాజవంశజులు దాతలే, వారు స్వీకరించరు. ఓ విప్రా! ఈ ధర్మాన్ని నీవు కూడా విన్నయెడల, మన ఇద్దరి కార్యఫలం మనిద్దరికీ కలిసి కలగుగాక।
