नैवोग्रं नैव चानुग्रं धर्मेणेह प्रशस्यते । उभयं न व्यतिक्रामेदुग्रो भूत्वा मृदुर्भव,युधिष्ठिर! राजधर्मके अनुसार केवल उमग्रभाव अथवा केवल मृदुभावकी प्रशंसा नहीं की जाती है। उन दोनोंमेंसे किसीका भी परित्याग नहीं करना चाहिये। इसलिये तुम पहले उग्र होकर फिर मृदु होओ
Translation
యుధిష్ఠిరా! రాజధర్మంలో కేవలం కఠినతకే గానీ, కేవలం మృదుత్వానికే గానీ ప్రశంస లేదు. రెండింటినీ విడిచిపెట్టకూడదు; అందుకే ముందుగా కఠినుడై, తరువాత మృదువుగా ఉండు।
