तस्माद्‌ विवर्धतां प्रीतिर्नित्यं संगतमस्तु नौ । कालातीतमिहार्थ तु न प्रशंसन्ति पण्डिता:,“अतः हमलोगोंमें सदा प्रेम बढ़े तथा नित्य प्रति हमारी संगति बनी रहे। जब कार्यका समय बीत जाता है, उसके बाद विद्वान्‌ पुरुष उसकी प्रशंसा नहीं करते हैं

tasmād vivardhatāṁ prītir nityaṁ saṅgatam astu nau | kālātītam ihārthaṁ tu na praśaṁsanti paṇḍitāḥ ||

కాబట్టి మన ఇద్దరి మధ్య ప్రేమ నిత్యం వృద్ధి చెందుగాక, మన సాంగత్యం ఎల్లప్పుడూ నిలిచియుండుగాక. ఎందుకంటే కార్యానికి తగిన కాలం దాటిపోయిన తరువాత, ఆలస్యమైన ప్రయత్నాన్ని పండితులు ప్రశంసించరు.
