Vasudeva–Arjuna Dialogue in the Aftermath of Dvārakā

यद्‌ यद्धि पुरुषव्याप्रो भूमेस्तस्या व्यमुड्चत । तत्‌ तत्‌ सम्प्लावयामास सलिलेन स सागर:,पुरुषसिंह अर्जुनने उस नगरका जो-जो भाग छोड़ा, उसे समुद्रने अपने जलसे आप्लावित कर दिया

yad yad dhi puruṣavyāpro bhūmes tasyā vyamuñcat | tat tat samplāvayāmāsa salilena sa sāgaraḥ ||

పురుషసింహుడైన అర్జునుడు ఆ భూమిలో ఏ ఏ భాగాన్ని విడిచిపెట్టాడో, సముద్రుడు తన జలాలతో ఆ ఆ భాగాన్ని వెంటనే ముంచివేశాడు.

Educational Q&A

Human strength and guardianship have limits before Kāla (Time) and the larger cosmic order; when the destined withdrawal occurs, even a hero like Arjuna cannot prevent dissolution, highlighting impermanence and the inevitability of ordained change.

As Arjuna departs and relinquishes parts of the city/land, the ocean immediately inundates those very areas, progressively submerging what is left behind.
