सीदमानां चमूं दृष्टवा पाण्डुपुत्रभयार्दिताम् | समुज्जहु: सम वेगेन भिन्नां नावमिवार्णवे,संजय कहते हैं--मान्यवर! नरेश! कृतवर्मा, कृपाचार्य, अश्वत्थामा, सूतपुत्र कर्ण, उलूक, शकुनि तथा भाइयोंसहित राजा दुर्योधनने समुद्रमें टूटी हुई नावकी भाँति आपकी सेनाको पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुनके भयसे पीड़ित और शिथिल होती देख बड़े वेगसे आकर उसका उद्धार किया
sādamānāṁ camūṁ dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍuputrabhayārditām | samujjahuḥ sama-vegena bhinnāṁ nāvam ivārṇave ||
పాండుపుత్రుల భయంతో కుంగిపోతున్న మీ సేనను చూసి, వారు అందరూ సమాన వేగంతో దూసుకొచ్చి, సముద్రంలో పగిలిన పడవను పైకి లేపినట్లుగా దానిని నిలబెట్టారు.
