Encirclement and Counterassault of Abhimanyu
तेषामापततां वीर: शीघ्रयोधी महाबल: । क्षिप्रास्त्रो न्यवधीद् राजन् मर्मज्ञो मर्मभेदिभि:,राजन! महाबली वीर अभिमन्यु शीघ्रतापूर्वक युद्ध करनेमें कुशल, जल्दी-जल्दी अस्त्र चलानेवाला और शशत्रुओंके मर्मस्थानोंको जाननेवाला था। वह अपनी ओर आते हुए शत्रु सैनिकोंका मर्मभेदी बाणोंद्वारा वध करने लगा
teṣām āpatatāṃ vīraḥ śīghrayodhī mahābalaḥ | kṣiprāstro nyavadhīd rājan marmajño marmabhedibhiḥ ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను— రాజా, తనపై దూసుకొచ్చిన వారిని ఎదుర్కొంటూ ఆ మహాబలవంతుడు (అభిమన్యుడు) వేగయుద్ధంలో నిపుణుడు, క్షణక్షణం అస్త్రాలు సంధించేవాడు. మర్మస్థానాలు తెలిసినవాడై, మర్మభేదక బాణాలతో ముందుకు వచ్చిన శత్రువులను సంహరించసాగెను.
