Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how steadfast valor and disciplined conduct in a righteous cause naturally earn recognition—even from impartial witnesses. Ethical excellence in action (karma) becomes visible through composure and effectiveness under pressure, leading to deserved acclaim rather than self-advertised pride.

Sañjaya reports that Sātyaki’s performance on the battlefield is so formidable that even celestial Siddhas and the assembled soldiers look on in amazement and openly applaud him, repeatedly exclaiming ‘sādhu, sādhu’ as they witness his unconquerable prowess.
