सैन्येन रजसा मूढं सर्वमन्धमिवा भवत् । उस अवस्थामें न आकाशका, न पृथ्वीका और न दिशाओंका ही पता लगता था। सेनाद्वारा उड़ायी हुई धूलसे आच्छादित होकर वहाँ सब कुछ अन्धकारमय हो गया था
sainyena rajasā mūḍhaṃ sarvam andham ivābhavat |
సంజయుడు పలికెను—సేనలు లేపిన ధూళివల్ల సమస్తం మోహితమై, అన్నీ అంధకారంలో అంధమైనట్లయ్యెను. ఆ స్థితిలో ఆకాశమో, భూమియో, దిశలయో ఏదీ గుర్తుపట్టలేకపోయిరి; సేనాధూళి కమ్ముకొని అక్కడ అంతా చీకటిమయమైపోయెను.
