रमे चाहं त्वया पुत्र पुरेव गजसाह्वये । नाथेनानुगतो विद्वन्‌ प्रियेषु परिवर्तिना,“बेटा! तुम्हारे साथ रहकर तथा तुम-जैसे रक्षकसे सुरक्षित होकर मैं उसी तरह आनन्दका अनुभव कर रहा हूँ, जैसे पहले हस्तिनापुरमें करता था। विद्वन्‌! प्रियजनोंकी सेवामें लगे रहनेवाले तुम्हारे द्वारा मुझे पुत्रका फल प्राप्त हो गया। तुमपर मेरा बहुत प्रेम है। महाबाहो! पुत्र! मेरे मनमें तुम्हारे प्रति किंचिन्मात्र भी क्रोध नहीं है; अतः तुम राजधानीको जाओ, अब विलम्ब न करो

rame cāhaṃ tvayā putra pureva gajasāhvaye | nāthenānugato vidvan priyeṣu parivartinā |

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— కుమారా, నీతో కలిసి నివసిస్తూ, నీ వంటి రక్షకుని ఆశ్రయమున నేను పూర్వం హస్తినాపురంలో అనుభవించిన ఆనందమే అనుభవిస్తున్నాను. ఓ విద్వన్మా, ప్రియుల సేవలో నిత్యం నిమగ్నుడై నీవు నాకు కుమారుడున్న ఫలాన్ని నిజంగా ప్రసాదించితివి.
