यस्त्वत्र मन्त्रसमयो भारयपत्योर्मिथ: कृत: । तमेवाहुर्गरीयांसं यश्चासौ ज्ञातिभि: कृत:

yas tv atra mantrasamayo bhāryāpatyor mithaḥ kṛtaḥ | tam evāhur garīyāṁsaṁ yaś cāsau jñātibhiḥ kṛtaḥ ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—భర్త మరియు భార్య పరస్పరం మంత్రోచ్చారణతో చేసే ప్రతిజ్ఞయే అత్యంత గౌరవనీయమైనదిగా భావించబడుతుంది. అదే బంధాన్ని బంధువులు కూడా అంగీకరించి మద్దతు ఇస్తే అది మరింత ప్రశంసనీయం; ఎందుకంటే వ్యక్తిగత వ్రతానికి సామాజిక ఆమోదం, స్థిరత్వం కూడా కలుస్తాయి.
