अभ्यद्रवन्त देवांस्ते सहस्नाणि दशैव हि । ततस्तैरदिता देवा: शरणं वासवं ययु:

Transliteration

abhyadravant devāṁs te sahasrāṇi daśaiva hi | tatas tair aditā devāḥ śaraṇaṁ vāsavaṁ yayuḥ ||

Translation

వారు—సంఖ్యలో దశసహస్రులు—దేవతలపై దూసుకొచ్చిరి; వారిచేత బాధింపబడి దేవతలు పారిపోయి వాసవుడు (ఇంద్రుడు) శరణు పొందిరి.
