ततो द्रोणो वृत: शिष्यैरुपगम्य भगूद्धहम् । आचर्ख्यावात्मनो नाम जन्म चाजड्डिरस: कुले,तत्पश्चात् शिष्योंसहित द्रोणने भृगुश्रेष्ठ परशुरामजीके समीप जाकर अपना नाम बताया और यह भी कहा कि “मेरा जन्म आंगिरस कुलमें हुआ है'
tato droṇo vṛtaḥ śiṣyair upagamya bhṛgūdvaham | ācakhyāv ātmano nāma janma cāṅgirasaḥ kule ||
అప్పుడు ద్రోణుడు శిష్యులతో చుట్టుముట్టబడి భృగుశ్రేష్ఠుడైన జామదగ్న్య పరశురాముని సమీపానికి వెళ్లి తన పేరు, వంశాన్ని నివేదించాడు—“నేను ద్రోణుడను; నా జన్మ ఆంగిరస వంశంలో” అని, గురువును సమీపించే శిష్టాచారానుసారం పరిచయం చేసుకున్నాడు।
