धृतराष्ट्र–दुर्योधन संवादः

निवेद्य शिरसा भूमौ पादौ चैवाभ्यवादयत् । ततस्तं सर्वमुत्सृूज्य वनं जिगमिषुं तदा
nivedya śirasā bhūmau pādau caivābhyavādayat | tatas taṃ sarvam utsṛjya vanaṃ jigamiṣuṃ tadā ||
తల నేలపై పెట్టి, పాదాలకు విధివిధానంగా అభివాదం చేసి నమస్కరించాడు. ఆపై సమస్తాన్ని విడిచి, ఆ సమయంలోనే అరణ్యానికి వెళ్లాలనే సంకల్పంతో బయలుదేరాడు।
