श्रीभगवानुवाच यदुनैवं महाभागो ब्रह्मण्येन सुमेधसा । पृष्ट: सभाजित: प्राह प्रश्रयावनतं द्विज: ॥ ३१ ॥
śrī-bhagavān uvāca yadunaivaṁ mahā-bhāgo brahmaṇyena su-medhasā pṛṣṭaḥ sabhājitaḥ prāha praśrayāvanataṁ dvijaḥ
శ్రీభగవానుడు పలికెను—బ్రాహ్మణులను గౌరవించే బుద్ధిమంతుడైన రాజు యదు ఆ మహాభాగ బ్రాహ్మణుని ఇలా ప్రశ్నించి సత్కరించాడు. రాజు వినయంగా తలవంచి నిలిచినదాన్ని చూసి సంతోషించిన ఆ ద్విజుడు ప్రత్యుత్తరం చెప్పడం ప్రారంభించాడు।
