पञ्च॑पादं पि॒तरं॒ द्वाद॑शाकृतिं दि॒व आ॑हुः परे॒ अर्धे॑ पुरी॒षिण॑म्। अथे॒मे अ॒न्य उप॑रे विचक्ष॒णे स॒प्तच॑क्रे॒ षड॑र आहु॒रर्पि॑तम्

IAST Transliteration

pañcapā́daṁ pitáraṁ dvādaśā́kṛtiṁ divá ā́huḥ paré árdhe purīṣíṇam | áthemé anyá úpare vicakṣaṇé saptácakre ṣáḍara āhur árpitam ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

A five-footed Father, of twelve forms, of Heaven—so they call him—in the farther half, rich in plenitude. Then these others, the discerning, in another doctrine, declare him set fast in the seven-wheeled (frame), as six-spoked.

Translation

దివ్య స్వర్గానికి ఐదు పాదముల పిత, ద్వాదశ ఆకృతులవాడు—అని వారు అంటారు—ఆ పరార్ధంలో, సమృద్ధితో నిండినవాడు. తరువాత ఈ ఇతరులు, విచక్షణులు, మరో సిద్ధాంతంలో—అతడు ఏడు-చక్రాల (చట్రం)లో దృఢంగా స్థాపితుడై ఉన్నాడు; (అతడు) ఆరు ఆరాలవాడని చెబుతారు.
