यत् पु॒रा प॑रि॒वेषात् स्वा॒दमा॒हर॑न्ति पुरो॒डाशा॑वे॒व तौ

IAST Transliteration

yát purā́ pariveṣā́t svādám āháranti puroḍā́śāv evá táu

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What, before the serving, they bring as the savoury portion—those two are, in very truth, the Puroḍāśa-cakes.

Translation

పరివేషం (వడ్డింపు)కు ముందు వారు రుచికర భాగంగా తీసుకొచ్చేది—ఆ రెండూ నిజముగా పురోడాశ (Puroḍāśa) కేకులే.
