Sukta 56
यस्य क्रूरमभजन्त दुष्कृतोऽस्वप्नेन सुकृतः पुण्यमायुः । स्वर्मदसि परमेण बन्धुना तप्यमानस्य मनसोऽधि जज्ञिषे
yásya krūrám ábhajanta duṣkṛ́to ’svápnena sukṛ́taḥ púṇyam ā́yuḥ | svár-madasi paraméṇa bándhunā tápyamānasya mánaso ’dhí jajñiṣe ||
Whom the evil-doers have allotted cruelty, him the well-doers—by dreamlessness—(allot) holy life. Thou exultest in the heavenly light by the highest bond; from upon the mind of him that is tormented wast thou brought to birth.
దుష్కృతులు ఎవరికైతే క్రూరతను పంచారో, అతనికే సుకృతులు—‘అస్వప్న’ (స్వప్నరాహిత్యం) ద్వారా—పుణ్యమైన ఆయుష్షును పంచుతారు. నీవు పరమ బంధంతో స్వర్గీయ కాంతిలో ఉల్లసిస్తావు; తప్తుడై బాధపడుతున్నవాని మనస్సు మీద నుంచే నీవు జన్మించావు.
