यत् कृ॒षते॒ यद् व॑नु॒ते यच्च॑ व॒स्नेन॑ वि॒न्दते॑ । सर्वं॒ मर्त्य॑स्य॒ तन्नास्ति॑ क्र॒व्याच्चेदनि॑राहितः

IAST Transliteration

yát kṛṣáte yád vanuté yác ca vásnena vindáte | sárvaṃ mártyasya tán nā́sti kravyā́c céd anirāhitaḥ

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

What he gaineth by tillage, what he winneth, and what he findeth by purchase,—all that of a mortal is not (secure), if the flesh-devourer be not duly established.

Translation

అతడు సాగు చేసి పొందేది, శ్రమతో గెలుచుకునేది, ధర చెల్లించి కొనుగోలుతో పొందేది—ఇవి అన్నీ మానవునికి స్థిరంగా భద్రముగా ఉండవు, క్రవ్యాద (మాంసభక్షక) అగ్ని విధిగా స్థాపించబడకపోతే.
