FAQs

It gives the ritual intention (saṅkalpa-like framing) for performing a pāvitrya/pāvitṛka purification so the rite is completed avighna—without impediments—by invoking the Lord’s enabling power.

It exemplifies the text’s practical ritual manual dimension (pūjā-vidhi): not only listing rites, but also preserving the operative prayer-language used to ensure correct, obstacle-free execution—one of many applied domains covered alongside law, polity, medicine, and arts.

By dedicating the act to the deity and praying for avighna completion, the performer aligns the rite with purity (pāvitrya), reduces ritual faults (doṣa), and seeks merit through correct, sanctioned performance.
