तस्याश्च दिक्षु विस्तीर्णा तत्तद्गुणसमन्विता । तेजोवती नाम पुरी हुताशस्य महात्मनः ॥ ७६.९ ॥

tasyāś ca dikṣu vistīrṇā tattadguṇa-samanvitā | tejovatī nāma purī hutāśasya mahātmanaḥ || 76.9 ||

அப்பகுதியின் திசைகளில் தத்தத் குணங்களால் நிறைந்த, விரிந்த பரப்பில் அமைந்த ‘தேஜோவதீ’ என்னும் நகரம் இருந்தது; அது மகாத்மா ஹுதாசன் (அக்னி) உடைய நகரம்.
