एवं सुमन्तुना दृष्टमाश्चर्यं बहुवासरम् ॥ सुमन्तुस्तर्कयामास कोऽयं कस्यात्मजो युवा ॥

evaṃ sumantunā dṛṣṭamāścaryaṃ bahuvāsaram || sumantustarkayāmāsa ko'yaṃ kasyātmajo yuvā

இவ்வாறு சுமந்து பல நாட்கள் இந்த அதிசயத்தை கண்டான். பின்னர் சுமந்து சிந்தித்தான்—‘இந்த இளைஞன் யார்? யாருடைய மகன்?’
