Verse 7

Amritnada

यथा पर्वतधातूनां दह्यन्ते धमनान्मलाः । तथेन्द्रियकृता दोषा दह्यन्ते प्राणनिग्रहात् ॥७॥

यथा । पर्वत-धातूनाम् । दह्यन्ते । धमनात् । मलाः । तथा । इन्द्रिय-कृताः । दोषाः । दह्यन्ते । प्राण-निग्रहात् ॥७॥

yathā parvatadhātūnāṃ dahyante dhamanān malāḥ | tathendriyakṛtā doṣā dahyante prāṇanigrahāt ||7||

மலைத் தாதுக்களின் மாசு ஊதுதலால் எரிந்து நீங்குவது போல, இந்திரியங்களால் உண்டான தோஷங்கள் பிராண நிக்ரஹத்தால் எரிந்து நீங்குகின்றன.

Just as, for the minerals (ores) of mountains, impurities are burned away by blowing (in the furnace), so the faults produced by the senses are burned away by restraint of the breath.
