முன்னொரு காலத்தில் அரசன் தசரதன் புத்ரப் பெறுதலை விரும்பி, அங்கே விதிமுறையுடன் ‘புத்ரேஷ்டி’ எனும் யாகத்தை ஆவலுடன் செய்தான்।
