तिलोदकीति विख्याता पुण्यतोया सदा नदी । संगमादन्यतो यस्यां तिलोदक्यां शुचिव्रतः । स्नातो विमुच्यते पापैः सप्तजन्मार्जितैरपि

Transliteration

tilodakīti vikhyātā puṇyatoyā sadā nadī | saṃgamādanyato yasyāṃ tilodakyāṃ śucivrataḥ | snāto vimucyate pāpaiḥ saptajanmārjitairapi

Translation

‘திலோதகி’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்ற இந்த நதி எப்போதும் புனித நீருடையது. அந்த திலோதகியில்—சங்கமத்தைத் தவிர்ந்த இடத்தில்—தூய விரதம் கொண்டவன் நீராடினால் ஏழு பிறவிகளில் சேர்ந்த பாவங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுபடுகிறான்.
