Skanda Purana — Vishnu Khanda, Shloka 62

प्रयतैः प्रतिमा कार्या चंद्रमंडलसन्निभा । सहस्रसंख्या ह्यथवा तदर्द्धं वा तदर्द्धकम् । निजवित्तानुमानेन तदर्धेन तदर्द्धिकम्

Transliteration

prayataiḥ pratimā kāryā caṃdramaṃḍalasannibhā | sahasrasaṃkhyā hyathavā tadarddhaṃ vā tadarddhakam | nijavittānumānena tadardhena tadarddhikam

Translation

தூய்மையுடனும் கவனத்துடனும் சந்திரமண்டலத்தை ஒத்த பிரதிமையைச் செய்ய வேண்டும். அதன் எண்ணிக்கை ஆயிரமாக இருக்கலாம்; அல்லது அதன் பாதி, அல்லது அதன் பாதியின் பாதி—தன் செல்வவளத்திற்கு ஏற்ப; தேவைப்பட்டால் சக்திக்கேற்ப மேலும் குறைக்கவும்லாம்।
