दामोदरं रैवतके भवं वस्त्रापथे तथा । एतद्रैवतकं क्षेत्रं वस्त्रापथमिति स्मृतम्
dāmodaraṃ raivatake bhavaṃ vastrāpathe tathā | etadraivatakaṃ kṣetraṃ vastrāpathamiti smṛtam
ரைவதகத்தில் தாமோதரன், வஸ்த்ராபதத்தில் பவனாகிய சிவனும் உள்ளார்; ஆகவே இந்த ரைவதகத் திருத்தலம் ‘வஸ்த்ராபதம்’ என நினைக்கப்படுகிறது।
