स तु मूढमतिर्मेने अहं विष्णुरिति प्रिये । चिह्नानि धारयामास चक्रादीनि वरानने
sa tu mūḍhamatirmene ahaṃ viṣṇuriti priye | cihnāni dhārayāmāsa cakrādīni varānane
ஆனால் அவன் மயக்கமுற்ற மனத்துடன், ‘நானே விஷ்ணு’ என்று எண்ணினான், பிரியே. அழகிய முகத்தவளே, சக்கரம் முதலிய குறிகளை அணியத் தொடங்கினான்।
