इति श्रीस्कांदे महापुराण एकाशीतिसाहस्र्यां संहितायां सप्तमे प्रभास खण्डे प्रथमे प्रभासक्षेत्रमाहात्म्य एकादशरुद्रमाहात्म्ये मृत्युञ्जयमाहात्म्यवर्णनंनाम पञ्चनवतितमोऽध्यायः
iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ saptame prabhāsa khaṇḍe prathame prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya ekādaśarudramāhātmye mṛtyuñjayamāhātmyavarṇanaṃnāma pañcanavatitamo'dhyāyaḥ
இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீ ஸ்கந்த மகாபுராணத்தின் எண்பத்தொன்றாயிரம் சுலோகங்களுடைய ஸம்ஹிதையில், ஏழாம் பிரபாச கண்டத்தின் முதல் பிரபாசக்ஷேத்ர மாஹாத்ம்யத்தில், ஏகாதச ருத்ர மாஹாத்ம்யத்தின் உட்பகுதியாக ‘ம்ருத்யுஞ்ஜய மாஹாத்ம்ய வர்ணனம்’ எனப்படும் தொண்ணூற்றைந்தாம் அத்தியாயம் நிறைவுற்றது.
