तत्र स्नात्वा महादेवि यज्ञकोटिफलं लभेत् । तस्यैव कल्पनामानि शृणु ते कथयाम्यहम्
tatra snātvā mahādevi yajñakoṭiphalaṃ labhet | tasyaiva kalpanāmāni śṛṇu te kathayāmyaham
மகாதேவி! அங்கே நீராடினால் கோடி யாகங்களின் பலன் கிடைக்கும். இப்போது அந்தத் தீர்த்தத்தின் கல்பங்களின்படி உள்ள பெயர்களை கேள்; நான் உனக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்.
