देवमातेति ते नाम कृत्वोचुस्तां तदा सुराः । कृत्वा तु भैरवं कार्यमसाध्यं देवदानवैः
devamāteti te nāma kṛtvocustāṃ tadā surāḥ | kṛtvā tu bhairavaṃ kāryamasādhyaṃ devadānavaiḥ
அப்போது தேவர்கள் அவளுக்கு ‘தேவமாதா’ என்று பெயரிட்டு அறிவித்தனர்; ஏனெனில் தேவர்களுக்கும் தானவர்களுக்கும் கூட இயலாத, பைரவனை ஒத்த செயலை அவள் நிறைவேற்றினாள்।
