पंचाग्निसाधको ग्रीष्मे वर्षास्वाकाशगस्तथा । हेमंते जलमध्यस्थो नव वर्षाणि पंच च
paṃcāgnisādhako grīṣme varṣāsvākāśagastathā | hemaṃte jalamadhyastho nava varṣāṇi paṃca ca
கோடையில் அவர் பஞ்சாக்னி விரதத்தை மேற்கொண்டார்; மழைக்காலத்தில் திறந்த வானின் கீழ் நிராவரணமாக இருந்தார். குளிர்காலத்தில் நீரின் நடுவே நின்றார்—இவ்வாறு மொத்தம் பதினான்கு ஆண்டுகள் தவம் செய்தார்.
