இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீ ஸ்கந்தமஹாபுராணத்தின் ஏகாஷீதி-ஸஹஸ்ரீ ஸம்ஹிதையில், ஏழாம் பிரபாஸகண்டத்தின் முதல் ‘பிரபாஸக்ஷேத்ரமாஹாத்ம்ய’ பகுதியில் ‘பீமேஸ்வர மாஹாத்ம்ய வர்ணனம்’ எனும் நாற்பதாம் அதிகாரம் நிறைவுற்றது।
