निवासाय प्रभोऽस्माकं स्थानं किंचित्समादिश । अहं श्रेष्ठो ह्यहं श्रेष्ठ इत्येवं ते परस्परम् । जल्पंतः सर्वतो देव पर्यटंति यथेच्छया
nivāsāya prabho'smākaṃ sthānaṃ kiṃcitsamādiśa | ahaṃ śreṣṭho hyahaṃ śreṣṭha ityevaṃ te parasparam | jalpaṃtaḥ sarvato deva paryaṭaṃti yathecchayā
“எங்கள் தங்குதலுக்காக, ஆண்டவா, எங்களுக்கு ஓர் இடத்தை அருள்க.” பின்னர் அவர்கள் ஒருவருக்கொருவர்—“நானே சிறந்தவன், நானே சிறந்தவன்” என்று வாதாடி, ஓ தேவா, பேசிக்கொண்டே விருப்பம்போல் எங்கெங்கும் அலைந்தனர்.
