merupādaṃ tu sumahatsurasiddhaniṣevitam | bhinnāṃjanacayākāraṃ golāṃgūlamiti smṛtam

அந்த மேருபாதம் மிகப் பெரிது; தேவர்கள், சித்தர்கள் சேவிக்கும் தலம். அது பிளந்த அஞ்சனக் கற்கள் குவியல்போல் தோன்றி ‘கோலாங்கூல’ எனப் புகழப்படுகிறது.
