ईश्वर उवाच । पुरा दैत्यगणा रौद्रा बभूवुर्वरवर्णिनि । कालकेया इति ख्यातास्त्रैलोक्योच्छेदकारकाः
īśvara uvāca | purā daityagaṇā raudrā babhūvurvaravarṇini | kālakeyā iti khyātāstrailokyocchedakārakāḥ
ஈஸ்வரன் கூறினார்—ஓ அழகிய நிறமுடையவளே, முற்காலத்தில் கொடிய தைத்யக் கூட்டங்கள் எழுந்தன; அவர்கள் ‘காலகேயர்’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்று, மூவுலக அழிவை உண்டாக்குவோர் ஆவார்।
