kapilena purā devi yatra taptaṃ tapo mahat | varṣāṇāmayutaṃ sāgraṃ pratiṣṭhāpya maheśvaram

தேவி! முற்காலத்தில் அங்கே கபிலர் மகத்தான தவம் செய்தார்; மகேஸ்வரனை பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து பத்தாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக சாதனை புரிந்தார்.
