गंधदानेन गंधाप्तिः सौभाग्यं पुष्पदानतः । धूपदानेन राज्याप्तिर्दीप्तिर्दीपप्रदानतः

gaṃdhadānena gaṃdhāptiḥ saubhāgyaṃ puṣpadānataḥ | dhūpadānena rājyāptirdīptirdīpapradānataḥ

நறுமணப் பொருளை தானம் செய்தால் நறுமணம் (நற்குண நயமை) கிடைக்கும்; மலர்தானத்தால் சௌபாக்கியம் பெருகும். தூபதானத்தால் அரசாட்சிச் செல்வம், தீபதானத்தால் தேஜஸும் ஒளிமையும் பெறப்படும்.
