īśvara uvāca | tato gacchenmahādevi kālamegheti viśrutam | tasmāttaṃ pūrvadigbhāge kṣetrapaṃ liṃgarūpiṇam
ஈஸ்வரன் கூறினார்—மகாதேவி! அதன் பின் ‘காலமேக’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்ற இடத்திற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும்; அங்கே கிழக்குத் திசையில் க்ஷேத்ரபாலன் லிங்க ரூபமாகத் திகழ்கிறான்।
