यस्मात्तेषु विनिक्षिप्य सहस्रांशं स्वतेजसाम् । अस्माकं दत्तवान्रुद्रो रक्षार्थं जगतां शिवः

Transliteration

yasmātteṣu vinikṣipya sahasrāṃśaṃ svatejasām | asmākaṃ dattavānrudro rakṣārthaṃ jagatāṃ śivaḥ

Translation

ஏனெனில் உலகங்களின் சிவனாகிய ருத்ரன், தன் தேஜஸின் ஆயிரமடங்கு பங்கினை அந்த (ஆயுதங்களில்) பதித்து, படைப்பின் காவலுக்காக எங்களுக்கு அருளினார்.
