பின்னர், தேவி, கவனக்குறைவால் அவன் படிப்படியாக அரண்மனையிலிருந்து விழுந்தான். தேவி, சிவனுடைய அந்தத் திருக்க்ஷேத்திரத்திலேயே அவன் திடீரென இறந்தான்।
