स कदाचिच्चरन्पापः पुष्करे तु जगाम वै । ददर्श शांकरं वेश्म लतापादपसंकुलम्

அந்தப் பாவி ஒருமுறை அலைந்து திரிந்து புஷ்கரத்திற்குச் சென்றான். அங்கே கொடிகளும் மரங்களும் அடர்ந்து சூழ்ந்த சங்கரனின் சிவாலயத்தை அவன் கண்டான்.
