இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீஸ்கந்த மகாபுராணத்தின் எண்பத்தொன்றாயிரம் சுலோகங்களைக் கொண்ட ஸம்ஹிதையில், ஏழாம் பிரபாசகண்டத்தில், முதல் பிரபாசக்ஷேத்ர மாஹாத்ம்யத்தில் “பாலார்க மாஹாத்ம்ய வர்ணனம்” எனும் 286ஆம் அதிகாரம் நிறைவுற்றது।
