puṣyamāse tvamāvasyāṃ dadyācchrāddhaṃ samāhitaḥ | na paśyāmi kṣayaṃ tasya tasmindattasya pārvati
புஷ்ய மாத அமாவாசையில் ஒருமனத்துடன் ஸ்ராத்தம் அளிக்க வேண்டும். பார்வதியே! அங்கே அளித்ததின் புண்ணியக் குறைவை நான் காணேன்.
Śiva
Tirtha: Devikā-taṭa (Prabhāsa)
Type: ghat
Listener: Pārvatī
Scene: At dawn on amāvāsyā, a devotee sits on kuśa grass by the riverbank, offering piṇḍa and water-libations; Śiva’s unseen presence is suggested by a faint liṅga silhouette and hovering light.
Performed at the right time and sacred place, śrāddha becomes enduring merit and a profound act of dharma.
The context points to Devikā-taṭa/Umāpatīśvara within Prabhāsakṣetra as the ‘there’ where merit is imperishable.
Offer śrāddha on Puṣya month’s amāvasyā with concentration (samāhita).
