ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि यत्र प्राची सरस्वती । तत्र स्थाने स्थितं लिंगं मंकीश्वरमिति श्रुतम्
īśvara uvāca | tato gacchenmahādevi yatra prācī sarasvatī | tatra sthāne sthitaṃ liṃgaṃ maṃkīśvaramiti śrutam
ஈசுவரன் கூறினார்—மகாதேவி! பின்னர் சரஸ்வதி கிழக்குநோக்கி ஓடும் இடத்திற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும். அங்கே ‘மங்கீஸ்வர’ எனப் புகழ்பெற்ற லிங்கம் நிலைத்துள்ளது.
