caṇḍovāca | svāminaḥ pratikūlāstu dharmadveṣaṃ karotu ca | sādhudveṣaparā caiva bisastainyaṃ karoti yā
Caṇḍa
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Caṇḍa speaks sternly; a narrative vignette shows a woman turning angrily away from her husband/master, rejecting ritual acts, and pointing in contempt at saffron-clad sādhus—embodying dharma- and sādhu-dveṣa.
Adharma is portrayed as turning the heart against dharma itself and against those who embody virtue.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra is the textual setting; the verse’s emphasis is on moral transformation rather than site-description.
No ritual is mentioned; it is a karmic characterization.
